As of December 2025, NSW Health's register lists 22 registered ART providers at 56 locations, and two of those providers are public local health districts. Lower-cost, publicly supported IVF is offered at three Sydney clinics. NSW does not publish state success rates and the national registry has no state breakdown, so the outcome figures below are for Australia and New Zealand combined.

Map to the Positive gives a script for judging a professional at the first visit. In a state with this many clinics, it helps you compare them on the same terms:
Choosing the right doctor is Chapter 31 of Map to the Positive, in Station IV. It sets out the technical and human criteria to look for, the warning signs, and when a second opinion or a change of doctor makes sense. The same station explains the treatment ladder and walks through IVF step by step.
